Marketing Through The Internet

Every business needs to employ a marketing strategy. With the current condition of the economy, new business are really unstable. Business owners and promoters need to determine which marketing campaign would be most effective. That is why there is a need for business owners and promoters to know more about the various marketing methods.

After the internet came, traditional marketing methods became less preferred. The potential in internet marketing is so huge. Costs are low but penetration is deep. Internet marketing is currently one of the most effective marketing strategies especially for small businesses.

There are several strategies under internet marketing. The most widely used platform is the social media. Social media networks are used for products and services campaigns. Its effectiveness lies on the fact that everyone is addicted to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn.

Online video marketing is much like social media marketing. Not all people are visual. Some would like to hear and watch. Online videos are like TV commercials, only they are more inviting, witty and captivating.

Another exhausted method is article marketing. Businesses or promoters write articles about the business, the product or the services being offered and post them on various article bases online. These links are keyword hyperlinks. With this type of marketing method, the owner benefits in two ways. We have already mentioned about the hyperlink. Second, a website’s ranking on SEOs depends on the number of links pointing to it. A site’s rank in search engines is affected by the number of pages linked to it. Say for example articles about gotnapkins.comThe articles then being distributed can have keywords such as personalized napkins, custom napkins or simply napkins. Once clicked, the reader will then be routed to the gotnapkins site.

Guerilla marketing on the other hand does not necessarily mean online marketing. You do not need a huge budget for this method, but you need timing, energy and creativity. Say for example you are promoting a book, you can have 10 or 20 people read the book on the park the whole day.
