Things To Remember When Setting Up A Themed Party

My dad was turning 50 during that time and our family wanted something memorable. He was the type of guy who dedicated his life to his family. So this time around, we wanted to give him a great time and the perfect birthday bang.

A simple party was out of the question. We knew we had to be creative, and the whole idea needed to be fun. We knew a formal party would bore him to death. My dad was lively, bubbly and always full of life. Only a theme party would make our birthday boy enjoy his 50th year.

A corporate party or formal ball was definitely a big No-No. We made a list of what we thought would qualify as memorable. The themes we thought of were cowboy, 80s, the Godfather, Mexican fiesta, the Beatles and beach party. Every dad would enjoy either a cowboy or Godfather theme. The west will always be the west as boys will always be cowboys.

The Godfather on the other hand is every real man’s favorite movie, and every true blooded male would definitely want to be Don Corleone for a day. The Beatles would make dad’s childhood or teenage rockstar dreams come true. And a Mexican theme was just there for safety backup. The beach them party was most challenging at all because that would mean bringing the beach to our huge backyard.

After much thought, we decided to go with a Caribbean Beach Theme party. We chose a Caribbean beach theme because of the food, and of course the mood it would convey. As for food, we booked a popular Caribbean caterer. We checked it out online and based our decision on review sites. We got their number and profile by looking for review sites on Google through location and idea based keywords such as spit roast catering Brisbane, spit roast Brisbane and spit roast hire Brisbane.

As for decorations, we decided to hire professionals as well. Instead of worrying about the whole setup, all we needed to do was look at catalogs and pay up. The time and effort we saved on hiring experts were channeled to making sure all of the guests were properly informed and would come.
