Smoking has health hazards, as we all know. There are a number of people who want to quit smoking. Quitting, however, is not easy as you may have experienced. Those who smoke often — there are people who smoke multiple times a day — will find it hard to quit smoking altogether.

There are products such as the electronic Cigarette available that claim to help you quit smoking. It allows you to control the amount of nicotine you take and thus, you may gradually bring down the level of nicotine that you take. In due time, you will get better at it and will be free of the addiction.

Do these work as they say? Although I may be wrong, I believe electronic cigarettes are for only those who want an alternative. If you want to quit smoking, they are useless. I would rather quit all forms of smoking instead of taking nicotine in some way.

I have pointed out that you will face problems in your pursuit to quit smoking. However, the heartening fact is that just about everyone who has ever given it a serious try has been successful in quitting smoking. In fact, according to government agencies, over half of all those who have been smoking have quit it successfully.

That, in itself, should be motivation enough to go out and try it. Only thing required from your side is the mental preparedness.
