XBox Live Vs PSN: Which One Is Better?

Most gamers owned either an XBox, a Wii, or the PS3; in simple words, these three consoles dominate the gaming consoles market. All of them have their own distinct advantages and disadvantages. The competition heats up every year, with new additions, new features, etc.

This article will mostly compare the Xbox and PS3; we will focus on their advantages and disadvantages, the exclusive gaming titles, etc. Let me start by saying that although I will be making some recommendations, for the most part, all major gaming titles are available for all three platforms — at least, the XBox 360 and the PS3. If that is what you are looking for, you may pick any of these consoles; it will do the job just right. All of them have, more or less, the same computing power, the same capacity and the same graphics. They are all very good on those, nowadays.

However, look beyond the specifics of the console themselves and you will see an entirely different picture. Some clearly lead the race from that angle. For example, with Xbox 360, you may get the Xbox Kinect 360, launched in 2010, which is an amazing new way to look at gaming. PS3 has it’s own version of Kinect, called the Move, too!

Apart from that, there are exclusive gaming titles for both of these platforms. In my opinion, the PS3 exclusives hold a slight edge. Gaming titles such as the Uncharted series, Resistance, God of War, inFamous, etc make the PS3 a very tempting purchase.

In the same vein, Xbox 360 has it’s own set of excellent gaming titles as well. Some of the names you may have heard of include Halo, Gears of War, etc. You may also avail of Free 48 Hour Xbox Live Codes, which are very helpful. With these codes, you can play online, on the Xbox Live environment which is fantastic.

PS3 has an equally good networking service, known as the PSN. It allows you to do the same. Having played on both, I can say that there aren’t a lot of differences however, on a feature-to-feature comparison combined with the exclusive gaming titles, PS3 takes the cake for me. It is a very good purchase; perhaps a little costlier than an XBox but certainly worth it.
